Starring Entourage actor turned activist Adrian Grenier, the pre-flight safety video takes viewers on a journey around Antarctica and the important conservation work being done there. The ice on portions of Michigan's Great Lakes has turned blue, but don't worry, there's a perfectly good reason why.  The phenomenon is common on glaciers, but not so much on large swathes of lake ice. It's happening where Lake Michigan meets Lake Huron, at a place called the Straits of Mackinac. There, fat slabs and mounds of cracked blue ice have collected near the shorelines. These violent delights sure do have violent ends — but perhaps not with quite the finality we often expect from violence. The rule of TV and film is to always assume that anyone who dies off-screen is still alive. And it looks like that applies to Westworld Season 1. In an EW interview , creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy confirmed that many of the characters presumed dead, or at least MIA, at the end of Season 1 will in fact be returning for Season 2. Vero, the Instagram-like app that suddenly went viral in the last couple days, has more than a million users, but it's still free — at least for now. The app doesn't host any ads, and the company's founders have always said they intend to charge users a yearly subscription to support the business. The fee was originally supposed to kick in after the app's first million users signed up (this first wave of users would be exempt from the fee). Vero is a three-year-old app that's suddenly become a popular alternative to established social media platforms. It has a platform that promises to show you what your friends and network are posting, in chronological order — and with no ads. It does sound alluring. Tons of users signed up for the Instagram-wannabe before anyone read the fine print and noticed the small detail that your account linked with your name and phone number is difficult to delete . But the Vero micro-scandal serves as a useful reminder: It's always a good time to go through your social media app settings on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and all the rest to check how your data is being used. This is especially necessary when it's your content getting exploited for the benefit a company, usually for targeted advertising. Read more... A Wrinkle in Time released a new poster, but not everybody's happy about it.  The poster depicts a stunning pastel collage of scenes over Storm Reid's hair, with Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Chris Pine peeking out between glowing lines.  Apparently, it's too feminine to ever be appealing to boys.  "This is a GREAT poster," YouTuber Grace Randolph tweeted, "But don't they want little boys to see this too... ?" The freight train of success that is Black Panther continues to barrel on, breaking into the top 20 of the U.S. box office and surpassing 2017's Wonder Woman . Black Panther reached $421.8 million at the North American box office Tuesday – beating out Wonder Woman ($412.6 million) and Toy Story 3 ($415 million) to take the no. 20 spot on the list of the U.S.' highest-grossing films, Variety reported Wednesday.  In addition to that impressive domestic showing, Black Panther has made an additional $326.3 million overseas, bringing the worldwide total so far to $748.1 million.
